Our Foundation was established on August 27th, 2014. Ubud is the place where we first gathered.

Translated our name means Shiny Pearl.  We believe this symbolizes our members.
Imagine a sea shell. Although the shell may not be  as beautiful as a flower, if you let it grow and support it with a good environment, it will produce a very beautiful pearl. This shining pearl can become useful and beautiful.  We at Cahaya Mutiara strive to be like that sea shell.  While we may have physical disabilities and our lives are challenging, when given the chance and support, we will  become unique and beautiful pearls.

We would like to offer the opportunity of joining our Foundation to everyone with a physical disability.  If you would like to join with us please contact first to find out more information.  

We do not have paid staff, we manage and administer our own Foundation.  

We run a transparent and honest organisation – everyone involved with us knows what we are truly about.  Acceptance and Support.
